Mr. Chuck Bergquist - SLCLEC Treasure (Retired 2019)
Chuck was born and reared in Duluth Minnesota graduating from the University of Minnesota - Duluth with a BA in Sociology/Law Enforcement. He served with the St. Louis County Sheriff's office from 1974 until retiring in 2004 as the Supervising Deputy for the Duluth office. Chuck also has the distinction of being appointed Sheriff for St. Louis County in 1986 until an elected Sheriff took office in January of 1987. Although Chuck is not a chaplain, he has the longest history with SLCLEC as he is one of the original signers of our articles of incorporation.
Mr. Bergquist is a bag pipe member of Duluth Scottish Heritage Pipes and Drum, serving as its Pipe Sergeant (www.duluthscots.com). He also serves as Pipe Major and Treasure of Aad Shrine Pipes and Drums of Duluth.
Chuck is married to Sue and they have two children; a son Rob Bergquist and daughter Maren Curtiss. Chuck attends the Vineyard Church of Duluth.
